AMELLE: HOW REHAB SAVED MY LIFE

AFTER enduring death threats and being described as a “danger to herself”, Sugababe Amelle Berrabah is back in business.
We are delighted to report that the sexy Sugababes star is out of rehab and ready to move on.
The 25-year-old singer flies back to Britain on Thursday following a 20-day spell at a private German heath clinic after docs diagnosed nervous exhaustion and said she was a danger to herself.
Following daily sessions with psychologists who specialise in extreme cases of bullying, Amelle says she’s “feeling better than ever and ready to come home”.
Our source said: “Amelle is over the moon to be leaving the hospital at last.
“She feels like a new person and can’t wait to get back to work and put this sad situation behind her.
“The clinic’s programme includes acupuncture, as well as group therapy sessions, building up confidence and tackling insecurities.
“Amelle’s been doing a lot of exercise like hiking and running and said she’s in a good place.
“She’s ready to move forward with her life and get back to work with the band.”
The sensitive soul was terrified when angry fans posted cruel messages online and through the mail following the departure of former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan, 25.
But our source went on: “Now Amelle is really excited about getting to know the new Sugababe Jade Ewen.”
The babes are set to do a special fundraising gig for a blind charity as 21-year-old Jade’s parents have sight problems.

As usual the official is being stingy and not telling us where Sugababes are performing to promote the new single.

Unfortunately that is all we know so far but rumours are that thy have countless TV and Radio appearances in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.

As a lot of you will already know the second single from Sugababes 7th studio album 'Sweet 7' is 'About A Girl' which is due for digital release this coming Sunday 8th November and physical release the day after. Yep that's right the video is going to be premiered online over at Popjustice in 30 minutes.

NME Reviews Get Sexy

In this months edition of NME, in the part where they list the "10 Tracks You Have To Hear This Week" (21/07/09). They placed Get Sexy at #7 and here is what they put.

7. Sugababes - Get Sexy
We lost them for a while to the ‘mum’s birthday present’ market, but Sugababes were never going to be able to resist the dancefloor for long. Their comeback single knocks memories of the woeful ‘Girls’ out of the way with its ridiculous, banging aggression, like being mauled by a techno cougar on heat. RedOne, producer to Little Boots and Lady Gaga, sets a steel-eyed intent behind Keisha’s playful “When I’m walking down the street, they say, ‘Hey sexy’” and Amelle’s brilliantly hard-faced boast “I’m too sexy for this club”.

One thing that is obviously wrong is the producer name as Get Sexy isn't a RedOne track but a Smeezingtons track.

Things are looking good.

21 July 2009: Heidi & Amelle Unwell

Heidi and Amelle are suffering with a severe bout of flu. They’ve been instructed to take at least a week off before a reassessment and so will unfortunately be out of action for at least the next 7 days.

It is unknown as to whether it is swine flu or seasonal flu but I know that we all wish them a speedy recovery.

New Album #7 News

We already know that the Smeezingtons produced Get Sexy and Ne-Yo wrote No More You and is produced by Stargate but two new titles have come about and they are Wait For You and Wear My Kiss both produced by Fernando Garibday. We also are looking forward to some Red One tracks and there might be some Ryan Tedder.

Get Sexy Track Listing

Well a track listing for Get Sexy has come about but it is unsure what the track listing is for.

Here it is:

Now with all the songs being different versions of Get Sexy I doubt it is the track listing for the physical CD but it could be for the Get Sexy - EP or the Promo CD. All I know is that my mouth is watering just thinking about what those remixes are going to be like.

Album #7 is coming soon

As most of you know Get Sexy is released on the 31st August and you would expect the album to be a couple weeks after but you would be wrong. The seventh album from the babes is out in November, which means 2 singles before the album in an AWDF era way. There is two dates going around at the moment for the the album and they are the 9th and 23rd November. Personally I would prefer it to be the latter as it gives more time in-between singles as the second single whatever that may be should come out 2 weeks prior to the album, so it would be either 26th October or 9th November. With the 26th being only 8 weeks after the Get Sexy release, Get Sexy could still be firmly in the top 10. Although the 9th is only 10 weeks it is a much better time scale. But if Get Sexy is a huge success I could see the album being pushed back to 30th November/7th December. I guess only time will tell.

Get Sexy Rumours And Facts

At the moment there is a few rumours going around to do with Get Sexy and here they are. I'll tell you if they are true or not.

Digital Release - 16th August / This is yet to be verified officially but many websites are stating it now so it might be true.

Video Premier - 15th July / This is unfortunately untrue as the video is being filmed on Friday and the girls have been in the dance studio learning some new moves today.

Official Cover / The official cover has not been made public yet but there are a few fan made/promo covers floating around.

Apparently the Promo CD is like a condom packet and feels like a condom on the inside, this is yet to be seen but apparently one DJ has said that.

Video Costing £150,000 / Now considering that the most expensive video last year was around £145,000 it sounds good but unfortunately this rumour is false and is confirmed to be about a different song, of which I know not.

Keisha (In Pictures)

Keisha Buchanan (24) is the only surviving original member of Sugababes being in the group for over 10 years despite this she is still the youngest. Throughout her Sugababes time she has had many ups and downs, after the launch of their first single Overload which did fairly well everything seemed to go down after that and ending the with being dropped. Not only were the Sugababes dropped from London Records they were now a member short as Siobhan Donaghy quit the band. But all was not lost as they found Heidi Range and a new label in Island Records. They released their first single in this line up called 'Freak Like Me', this brilliant song gave them their first #1 and since then Keisha has been a core member in Sugababes. Keisha can sometimes be thought of the diva of the group.

Heidi Range (26) first joined the band after Siobhan Donaghy left the group after personal disagreements with the rest of the group. Heidi was part of the original line up for Atomic Kitten but decided to leave them just before they were going to release their first single and album as she decided she did not want to go in the direction they were going in. So she decided to join Sugababes who were at that time looking for a new record deal after being dropped by London Records. In my opinion she brings the classyness to the group.

Amelle Berrabah has been a member of Sugababes for 3 and a half years now and at the age of 25 she is sure too be the feistiest member of the chart topping group.

Tinchy Stryder Featuring Amelle Berrabah - Never Leave You

Tinchy Stryder has teamed up with our very own Amelle in a great song entitled 'Never Leave You'. NLY is tipped to be NUMBER 1 when released on 3rd August. Hopefully this will manage to get two weeks at the top spot to then be knocked off #1 by 'Get Sexy' which is rumoured to be released digitally on the 16th August. Tinchy's album 'Catch 22' is set to be released on the 17th August. Here is the song and video of 'Never Leave You'.
